Iron Tanks is a free game where you're thrown into large matches often free-for-alls with players of similar skill to your own. These players like you command a tank on the battlefield. Your goal is simple: to destroy each other and to avoid being destroyed yourself! This makes for a frenetic third-person shooter experience with an interesting control scheme and a lot of power behind it.
Fast-Paced Battles Slow-Paced Preparations
In Iron Tanks you face down a variety of opponents in massive explosive tank battles. The gameplay is fast-paced and progress is swift at first unlocking new tanks and new weapons. There are some microtransactions and players who've played longer definitely have an advantage over newer players but this is not extremely noticeable at first. There aren't many bugs that affect gameplay and while reviewing the game several we found were fixed by the developers but the game does occasionally crash particularly when starting matches. This seemed to happen much less on faster computers.
Good Simple Unclean Fun
Overall if you think you'd enjoy the experience of driving a tank through a war-torn battlefield you should consider playing Iron Tanks. If you think you'd enjoy that experience as a backdrop to an intense quick multiplayer experience you definitely should. After all the game is free and so you don't have much to lose from trying it!
